The Application Process

For individuals

The process begins when we receive a call from the individual who will be handling the financial affairs of the patient. The following steps are then set into action:

  • A meeting is arranged with one of our field representatives, all of whom have at least 10 years completing Medicaid applicaitons. The individual is sent a checklist of basic items that are needed to start the application.
  • At the first meeting, our representative completes the Medicaid applicaiton and reviews the required documents and puts together a list of additional information if necessary.
  • The application is submitted. Very often Medicaid sends a request for additional information. If so, you will be informed that these documents are needed with a deadline to provide them.
  • The application is  approved.

Average time for approval is approximately 2-4 months from date of application.

For a couple

The process is simliar but extra steps are involved. The state allows a spouse to keep a minimum amount of assets. That figure is $120,900.00. Our field representative will show you how the process works.

For applicants who have a child that may qualify for exemptions or a trust. Our field representative will give you the general guidelines and suggest you seek competent counsel

Fees

We believe in fee transparency; you have a right to know exactly what the fee will be at the end of the case at the time our services are retained. The following fees are therefore all-inclusive; we do not suggest a range or ask for additional compensation in the future because we found the case was more difficult.

For individuals: $ 1,100.00

For a couple: $1,500.00

Previuoslty filed/denied or need retro Medicaid  $1,750.00

The fee is considered a deductible expense for purposes of Medicaid eligibility.
